Maidar city calculated to have 100 thousand residents by 2030

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Members of parliamentary working group headed by MP S.Byambatsogt got familiarized with progress of ‘Maidar City’ project being implemented in Sergelen soum of Tuv aimag.  

The Government resolved to make Maidar eco city, which was planned to be built in slope of Zurkh Mountain, a new city center in 2012 and laid its foundation. The ‘Maidar city’ project jointly developed by Mongolian and German engineers, will realize the first eco-city in Mongolia. 

Construction of Maidar eco-city will be carried out in four phases. “In the first stage, the eco-city is calculated to have 100 thousand residents by 2030,” adjunct advisor to Prime Minister and project manager L.Bayartuul introduced to the working group.
